Brief History

Oakland Building Services Ltd was established in February 1996, over 13 years ago, as a family-run business and is currently managed by Managing Director, John Sinnott. John’s vision was to develop and operate a more personal, communicative and responsive service-driven business.

As a Company, our aim is to provide a partnering philosophy with a view to understanding our Client requirements and delivering Client expectations on time and on budget. We are proud of our record of long standing relationships, undertaking fast track projects with particular emphasis given to delivering high standards of service and a superior quality end product.

Our Mission Statement is to provide a competitive, professional and transparent, relationship-based Service to ensure our Client’s needs are understood and achieved with a view to developing an on-going working confidence ensuring quality, design, programming and cost implications are met.

Particular emphasis is given to social, economic and environmental sustainability and the importance of whole-life costs in delivering value for money, sustainable projects. Our ethos is to work closely with our Clients to implement sustainable strategies generating specific business benefits, including cost savings through lower energy consumption and reduced disposal and material purchase costs.

This dedication to a customer focused service is reflected in the face we have carried out works for many of our Clients in excess of seven years and the majority of our work is through referral.
